OTT Solutions (Pty) Ltd has been established as a company that specialises in the refurbishment of used military equipment as well as the manufacture of new military, police and civilian vehicles. The company is situated in Pretoria, South Africa.

Teaming up with our trusted partner, Truck & Training Logistics (Pty) Ltd, we deliver comprehensive services, ranging from mechanical repairs to the refurbishment of armoured vehicles. Special rates will apply for long term rentals. We ensure round-the-clock roadside assistance, along with essential mechanical support and drivers tailored specifically for armoured vehicles. Our commitment is to deliver a seamless and professional experience, driven by hands-on management.
We initiated the Ratel Life Extension Programme (SLEP) in partnership with the OTT Group of Companies, including OTT Technologies and ADG Mobility. This endeavor focused on enhancing mobility, protection, and firepower to a significant degree. It exemplifies the collaborative efforts within the South African Defense Industry to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions, ultimately benefiting the South African Defense Force. Successful demonstrations were conducted at Gerotek for the Department of Defense and Military Veterans, along with a firepower exercise at Lohatla.
SHAREHOLDERS:
The company has two main shareholders; namely,
The South African National Military Veterans Association (SANMVA), who have 51% shareholding and are represented on the Board by two directors LT Gen GL Ramano (Rtd) who is also the chairman of the Board of Directors and Brig General MR Fihla (Rtd) who is also currently the Treasury general of SANMVA.
The second shareholder is OTT Technologies (Pty) Ltd who have 49% shareholding and are represented by two directors on the board:
Mr. Andre Olivier and Mr. Anton van Rensburg.
The directors and shareholders have more than thirty years of experience in this field of business as well years of military experience in the South African National Defense Force at the highest levels.
The traditional business model is based on the accomplishment of 43 years of business in this industry, in South Africa, by utilizing the established in house research and development, design, manufacture and assembly capabilities and capacity at the OTT facilities in Pretoria.
Based on the decision of the company to focus on the South African market; we have now established OTT Solutions (Pty) Ltd, based in Pretoria, as the corporate vehicle to achieve this strategic intent. The fundamental principles of the Military Veterans Act, Act 18 of 2011 are endorsed by the company.
The military veterans and their dependents will benefit from this venture as a result of job creation and downstream involvement of the members of SANMVA.
There is a great need for South African innovation, technology and expertise in this field that will save both time and money to our stakeholders. We would be in a position to supply local equipment that to date had to be imported as it was not locally available.
Existing vehicle fleets can be refurbished and/or maintained to meet the current operational needs and to support the preventative maintenance programs. Our in-house engineers will work, design and plan with our clients to optimize our products and services to the specifications and standards required. In addition to this, we will be honouring the military veterans for their sacrifices and service to their country for their role in the democratization of South Africa.

Scope of Work
OTT Solutions (Pty) Ltd has via its shareholders and directors;
From OTT Technologies (Pty) Ltd, more than 43 years of experience in the refurbishment, maintenance and construction of new and innovative military and commercial vehicles.
They have many satisfied customers on the African continent and elsewhere that includes various Defense Forces, United Nations Peace Keeping Operations as well as African Union Peace Keeping Operations.
They have in house research and development capabilities as well as project management engineers who are supported by CAD operators who develop detailed manuals for each of the products supplied to customers.
They support their products and customers in country of operations with well-equipped mobile workshops and technical staff.
From the South African National Military Veterans Association (SANMVA), two highly respected and decorated generals with years of military service who knows and understands the requirements of the South African National Defense Force. Lt Gen GL Ramano (Rtd) SSAS SD SM MMS MMM MMB was Chief of the Army and Brig Gen MR Fihla (Rtd) is currently the Treasury General of the SANMVA.
They have the experience to interpret and understand the needs of the SANDF on the one hand and to give effect to the policy objectives of the Military Veterans Act, Act 18 of 2011 and the Military Veterans Benefits Regulations issued in the government gazette 37355 on 19th February 2015.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS
The company anticipates funding from its shareholders and/or suitable financiers or project investors, based on sound contracts that would be awarded to the company.
The company expects to reach the budgeted profits and cash flows levels within the first year of operation. Following that, the company will concentrate on achieving profitability and cash flow budgets based on an ongoing 3 year budget plan.

CURRENT STATUS:
LEVEL 2
Ownership – 51% issued and paid up shareholding to the South African national Military Veterans Associations that includes all veterans.
Management control – 50% black directors on the board representing the 51% shareholders. The chairman of the board is one of these directors.

OTT Solutions (Pty) Ltd has accredited with the merSeta for five artisan training fields, namely

Diesel mechanic
Welder
Spray painting
Once contracts have been secured veterans and their families will be trained as artisans as mentioned above.
Future status
Enterprise and supplier development – The board has a vision to create co-operatives for the veterans and their families downstream. These cooperatives will be supported financially, receive management and technical training and equipment and assistance to start micro businesses.
Socio Economic Development – Over and above the board’s decision to establish cooperatives and equip and train the veterans and their families, the board accepts its responsibility as part of its triple bottom line reporting to care for the environment and the community in a sustainable manner.
